Mike Blair, Scotland's back-up scrum-half, has been ruled out of Saturday's Test against Australia after failing a fitness test on an injured ankle.
The Edinburgh number nine suffered the injury in last Saturday's 23-10 win over Fiji after coming on to replace co-captain Chris Cusiter.
Blair will be replaced on the bench by Gloucester's Rory Lawson.
