Wales coach Warren Gatland said suggestions his side have something to fear from Argentina's pack this weekend are well wide of the mark.
The Pumas' forwards are renowned for their scrummaging ability and will look to test Wales in the setpiece at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
But Gatland, speaking after unveiling his side to play Argentina told reporters on Tuesday: "We need to back ourselves at the scrum.
"We are not going to put (Argentina's) scrum on a pedestal," the former Ireland and Wasps coach added.
"We've got to make sure we switch on - it is not a big issue for us.
"They are not the greatest scrummaging threat," the New Zealander insisted. "We've looked at tapes of the past.
"I've spoken to Graham Rowntree (England scrum coach), who said they thought the Australian scrum was significantly stronger than the Argentine one.
"Argentina are a dogged side. They are tough and physical, but they don't play a huge amount of rugby, which is what we saw a couple of years ago in the World Cup," Gatland explained.
"We are expecting them to kick a lot more than they did against England last Saturday.
"They are a tough side to beat and to put away, and we are expecting that tough, physical encounter against them.
"We've got to be smart in terms of the way we play. We perhaps need to up our tempo and intensity from what we had last week (against Samoa).
"When England went out there and played a little bit of rugby (in a 16-9 win over the Pumas on Saturday), I thought it stressed Argentina."
Gatland has made six changes from the team that scraped past Samoa 17-13 last week.
Jonathan Davies starts in midfield after centre Tom Shanklin was ruled out with a broken nose.
Jamie Roberts moves across to outside centre while Gatland has recalled four British and Irish Lions in wing Shane Williams, fly-half Stephen Jones, flanker Martyn Williams and hooker Matthew Rees after the quartet were rested from the side that edged past Samoa 17-13.
In a somewhat surprise move, Gatland has opted to start with Gareth Cooper at scrum-half in place of Dwayne Peel.
Cooper started against New Zealand earlier this month, but Peel was among Wales' best players against Samoa.
Davies for Shanklin is the only change from the Wales side beaten 19-12 by the All Blacks on November 7.
