Michalak recalled as Tillous-Borde injured

Toulouse star Frederic Michalak earned his first call-up to the France squad since the 2007 World Cup when he replaced scrum-half Sebastien Tillous-Borde, who pulled out injured on Monday for their final Six Nations match with Italy.

The 26-year-old - capped 50 times and who can play either at scrum-half or fly-half - moved to South Africa to play for the Sharks last year and had failed to regain favour with present France coach Marc Lievremont since returning to play for Toulouse.

The mercurially-talented playmaker was selected for last summer's Tour of Australia but he had to decline it as he suffered a knee injury playing for the Sharks with whom he won the Currie Cup.

Tillous-Borde is suffering from a left arm injury while hooker Benjamin Kayser is also out of the match with a twisted neck and has been replaced by Michalak's Toulouse team-mate William Servat.

Servat, 31 and capped 20 times, last donned the national colours in March last year in the 29-12 defeat by Wales.

France will be bidding to bounce back from the 34-10 drubbing they received at the hands of England in Sunday's Six Nations match.
