Gavin Henson's return to Test rugby won't now come until the start of the Six Nations Championship in February at the earliest after he was ruled out of Wales's remaining Tests in November, against Australia and New Zealand, with an Achilles tendon injury.
Ospreys centre Henson, 26, had been due to play against South Africa last Saturday but withdrew 24 hours before the match with the world champions kicked-off at the Millennium Stadium.
He was not considered for this Friday's match at home to Canada, a game he might well not have played in even if fully fit, but Wednesday's announcement by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) also means he will miss the Millennium Stadium clashes with the All Blacks (November 22) and the Wallabies (November 29).
